    Description

Pottery for all levels. Courses are designed to provide beginners with a structured introduction to the techniques of pottery – hand-building, throwing on the wheel, and the use of slips and glazes. After a demonstration, students are taken through each stage of the technique, step-by-step, at their own pace. The classes have been developed as friendly, mixed-ability groups, so are also suitable for students with some previous experience.

Students who attend weekday courses also have the opportunity to take part in longer, Saturday workshop sessions, which allow more time to practise techniques, learn about different styles and methods, and develop projects in greater depth.

The Pottery at Hanwell Community Centre has been established for many years, and the courses, in their current form, have been running for 15 years.

WHEN: Tuesdays 10am-12 noon and 7-9pm, Wednesdays 10am-12 noon and 7-9pm
    plus Saturday workshops
